How to make your own shipping boxes with a CO2 laser cutter

How to make your own shipping boxes with a CO2 laser cutter

I came up to a problem where I designed a product but had no way to mail it out. Either my current shipping boxes were too big or just too heavy, I decided to design my own dedicated shipping box and cut it out on my laser cutter.

Laser Cutter: 50w Chinese
Focal Lens: 38.1mm
Cutting Speed: 200mm/s
Cutting Power: 35%
Stock Thickness: 1/8" double corrugated wall

The custom shipping box was designed in Adobe Illustrator and exported as a DXF to LaserWork.

You can get stock cardboard sheets from Mcmaster.com
