Good to know
  • Templates are cut from cast acrylic with a smooth, polished laser edge.
  • They come with protective paper on both sides. Peel it off before use.
  • We cut only, no engraving. Grain lines, seam lines and match marks can be cut through as slots or holes. Tell us in your notes and we'll include it in your quote.
  • Price is width x height of each template (its overall rectangle), times the rate, times quantity.

Questions

How much does a custom acrylic template cost?

$0.23 per square inch in 1/8" clear and $0.40 per square inch in 1/4" clear, measured by the template's overall width x height. A 6" x 6" quilting square is $8.28 and a 12" x 18" pattern piece is $49.68 in 1/8" clear.

My pattern is a PDF. Can you still cut it?

Yes, that's most of what we do. We trace your PDF by hand, and join pattern pieces that run across several pages into one template. Enter the finished size here for an estimate, then reply to our email with the PDF.

How do I send my pattern file?

Not through this form. After you send your request, we email you and you reply with your PDF, photo, SVG or DXF attached.

How big can a template be?

Up to 48" x 96", a full sheet of acrylic.

Is there a minimum order or setup fee?

No. You pay for the templates only, plus shipping or free pickup in Plainfield, IL, added to your invoice.

Do you offer colors other than clear?

Clear is standard. Ask for another color on this page and we'll confirm it and the price by email.

Can you engrave lines or markings?

We cut only, no engraving. Grain lines, seam lines and match marks can be cut through as slots or holes. Mention it in your notes and we'll quote it.
